MANA Professional Development Program For Students
The MANA Professional Development Program helps defray costs for student members who would not otherwise be able to participate in professional development events such as a MANA Meeting or AANA Meeting.
MANA will award up to $5,000 each year to deserving student members to attend a professional development event.
Application Timeline
The deadline to submit an application will be ongoing until funds are depleted for the fiscal year. Applications will be reviewed by the MANA past president and finance committee chair. A recommendation will be made to the MANA board for final approval of grant money.
How to Apply
- Complete the MANA PD Grant online application on the MANA website
- Written recommendation from Program Director
- You MUST be a MANA student member to apply
- Include a detailed breakdown of funding requested, including registration fees and travel expenses
Recipient Requirements
- Recap Submission: Following the event, the recipient is required to write a short post, with photos, that includes information both about the event and the impact of being a grant recipient. This post should be completed and submitted to MANA Headquarters and the Communications Committee chair within one (1) month of the event. The information will be posted on MANA’s social media channels and website.
- Committee Involvement: Grant recipients are required to serve on a MANA Committee of choice for the following year.
- Reimbursement Procedures: Recipient must submit a reimbursement form and supporting documentation to MANA Headquarters within 15 days of the event. Recipient will be reimbursed in accordance with MANA policies. Note: the recap submission will have to be received prior to the reimbursement distribution.
