Job Description: Serve as a designated contact to your U.S. Representative member on behalf of the AANA to reinforce the legislative agenda of the profession of nurse anesthesia. Your job will be to localize and personalize the impact of issues impacting the profession of nurse anesthesia while building a strong on-going relationship with your U.S. Representative. This volunteer professional advocacy position works with your state Federal Political Director (FPD) to help communicate the legislative priorities of CRNAs to Members of Congress.
Qualifications: AANA members who have an interest in advocacy and the political process. Must be willing to respond to CRNAdvocacy calls to action; provide updates to the Federal Political Director (FPD) and the AANA DC office about contact with your legislator; assist with activities for CRNA-PAC; attend the AANA Mid-Year assembly and help mobilize other CRNAs into action. Applicants with a passion being active on behalf of the nurse anesthesia profession preferred!
